Who can vote?
We want to hear primarily from brides and grooms. We will also accept nominations from members of the bridal party, though we will ask for further information, including married couples names, date of wedding, location and may be subject to further vetting.
How many times can I vote?
You have an unlimited number of votes across categories i.e you can vote in as many categories as you wish, though multiple votes for the SAME company in the SAME category will only be counted as one vote.
Surely people can make up names and vote as many times as they want for themselves?
We have a thorough vetting process in place. Our system also allows us to recognise multiple entrees from any single IP address. It's also important to note that winners are NOT decided upon vote number alone.
How are companies shortlisted?
Companies are shortlisted based on the number of votes they receive i.e the top five companies with the most votes, that have met our criteria will be shortlisted. This is the first stage of the process. The top 5 companies from each category and region will then be sent for judging.
What does a company need to do to be part of the WNWA's?
Drum up votes! You will be required to complete an online company registration form to be part of the first stage process, the registration form is irrelevant to the number of votes you have received - this is simply your confirmation that you are happy to be entered into the 2019 Wedding Awards. Should your company not meet with the minimum requirements detailed below, the next company with the highest number of votes will be auto-listed.
How are winners chosen from the shortlisted businesses?
Along with vote number, feedback is asked for and is scored across product quality, customer service and value for money. We also conduct mystery shops, calls and so forth. All of this information is passed to our independent panel of judges.
Company Entry Criteria
Other then the new business category all companies must have been established for a minimum of 12 months, and must have conducted a minimum of 10 weddings. It is assumed that all companies are acting legally - failiure to trade legally may result in disqualification. We do reserve the right to remove a category in any region should we not receive enough business nominations / votes for the category to be put forward for judging.

Why are the judges anonymous?
So that the judges can be truly independent & are able to fulfill their judging role, the judges identities remain anonymous. This prevents any bias or sway. All judges are professionals in their field, and are judging clients feedback through the voting process. We recently conducted a survey which voted overwhelmingly for the judges to remain anonymous.
